The Legal Helpline offers free legal information on a number of different issues, and also provides referrals. Brief messages can be left 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Attorneys staffing the Legal Helpline return phone calls during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Clients are represented in cases in which there are no financial issues or children OR custody and child supports orders are in effect.

Family Court Legal Program

(FCLP) provides immediate legal assistance for victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and elder abuse in the Family Courts of Westchester County. Services are available to everyone regardless of financial means, race, gender, sexual orientation or immigration status. All services are free and confidential; multilingual services are available.

The Family Abuse Court Services Program trains community volunteers to help individuals who are seeking an order of protection from the Family Courts in Yonkers, White Plains and New Rochelle. The program, which provides crisis support for abused family members, is an on-site service available weekdays from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and is free of charge.
